Biosensor / CMOS / Cantilever
Biosensor microdispensing enables the precise deposition of biological materials onto detection systems designed to identify and measure specific substances. They typically consist of a biological part, such as an enzyme, antibody, or DNA fragment, and a sensor that changes the biological reaction into a measurable signal. Biosensors are widely used in medical diagnostics, life science, food safety, and environmental monitoring. The labeling process can be eliminated by using CMOS – complementary metal-oxide semiconductor, where the detection is changed into an electrical signal.
These modern CMOS-based biosensors offer additional advantages, including compact size, low cost, real-time detection, and high sensitivity, making them ideal for portable and point-of-care testing devices.
The efficiency of the biosensors depends on the accurate and precise placement of the biological material on the sensor. Precise, reliable and well controlled ultra-low volume liquid positioning.
For many years, microdrop has provided high-throughput dispensing solutions that enable deposition of the liquids in picoliter, nanoliter and microliter volumes. With a new additional feature, such as QC on the Fly the manufacturing capacity can grow even faster, with the factor 5-10x compared to the traditional technology suppliers.
microdrop Technologies offers tailor-made solutions to the specific chip-layout and additional features like humidity and temperature control, or customised software solutions. The fastest inkjet printing technology, with extremely high accuracy, can handle nearly any viscosity or liquid variation.

Cantilever Biosensor – Biological Activation
microdrop Dispensing Technology is a powerful tool for surface activation and functionalisation with different biomolecules at Cantilever based biosensors. These sensors operate label-free, and do not require chemical tags or conjugates for delivering real-time results.
